that the local weather reporter did a big no no that may have saved a whole lot of lives? About 20 minutes before the hit, he decided to go against the rule of thumb that says to take cover and instead made a last moment decision to tell everyone to get in their car and drive out of town.

If that had been a bad call, he would have been in deep doodoo. But I guess he was smart enough to see that the best answer was to get out of town. He was sure right this time.

Someone help me with this if you know this story. I'm just retelling it from memory.
