22. I have done it for six dogs in the last five years. They lived to

be eighteen and they were all dachshunds. Your dog is waiting for you to do the last loving things you can. He was your buddy and pal and comforted you. Now you have to comfort him. Freeing his beautiful soul from the failing body it exists in is love. There will only be time to heal you but know this. You got him in love, you lived with him in love and you will lead him home with love.

A dog loves you with all your heart. They give you everything. Its given without attachments or strings. Now you have to return that love by setting him free. Take lots of pictures. Love them and when they go its quiet and peaceful. I still hear their toe nails on my floors some nights and they still keep my company when I am down.

Your baby will always be there with you. Don't feel badly. You are doing your baby the most loving thing you can for him right now. I hold you close, you and your baby. He looks like my little Timmy. (b. 1994, died 2013) Love forever.
