62. When we had standards, which seems like a long, long time ago, internet forums used to requrie that

anyone who was working for a political party was required to inform the members of their affiliations.

Sadly, we found out later that there were political operatives on forums which presented themselves as independent, posing as 'ordinary citizens'. Anyone who commented on their suspicions at that time, back in 2002-03-04 were instantly banned. But not too much later it was admitted that they had been correct.

Political operatives have destroyed what started out as a place for ordinary people to simply express their opinions. I have no doubt there are always political operatives on any forum where they believe they can influence public opinion. The truth is they have always been so divisive that any attempt to do what they are apparently supposed to do, has failed.

I am certain that, just as happened in the past, those who are paid operatives will be revealed as such and no one will be surprised.


However, considering the failure of this strategy, and a book could be written about how the internet was infiltrated, you have to wonder why they keep doing it.
