5. I agree, revoke their tax-exempt status already!

What's the reason for religious institutions to be tax-exempt anyway? I can't think of any that I would agree with. And even if there was a good reason, this benefit for religions has been abused for years. They are often politically active with their religion and their money, even though that violates the terms of their tax-exempt status. They push it way way too far, violating the spirit if not the letter of the law. Revoke it already. And K & R to this OP.
