12. In retrospect, unfortunate, but not racist because

GW's expressions were compared to a chimp because his INTELLIGENCE was suspect.. It was the meme o' the day, that he was not up to par in the smarts department (although most of the chimps pictured, probably had a LOT of innate intelligence)

The difference NOW, is that the anti-evolution , and yes, RACIST out there just love to compare the Obamas BECAUSE they are black, to their "animal counterparts (in their eyes)...a gorilla, a monkey, a chimp = animals and ONLY animals.... They are a clever bunch because they have conflated the two "memes" and say "...but but but YOU guys did the same to "our" president, GW..."

It's also akin to the republicans refusal to accept Obama's presidency as legitimate, when "WE" did the same to GW.. but if you think about it, we DID deny the legitimacy, but for a real reason.. GW's election was suspect at best, and probably existed only because of chicanery, deceit and probably crimes. Republicans deny Obama's legitimacy because.. well, He's BLACK (and unworthy of being president)
