Republicans often "fear" exactly what they do or want done. Hence all this fear of liberal voter fraud, or liberal federal workers, of activist judges, the homosexual agenda... these are generally not actual things that exist. These are things they do and justify because of they perceive everyone else as doing them too.

Santorum clearly wants to control peoples bodies (particularly women). He's stated it over and over. More than that the anti-abortion agenda has move way passed anti-abortion and into anti-contraception and definition of life. They fear the liberal agenda has some how gone there with them. Where as most normal sane people take buying a condom for granted and frankly aren't interested in definitions of life.
