My Question for Chris Christie: Uh...why OCTOBER? Why not wait a month, and save NJ $12 million? [View all]

Okay, so Chris Christie just announced he's going to hold a special election to fill the NJ Senate seat in October 2013. That will cost the State of New Jersey about $12 million to put on a special election.

So, my question is: Why not just wait ANOTHER MONTH and hold the election at the same time as all the other elections?

The reason is obvious (isn't it)? Because he doesn't want Cory Booker to be on the same ballot as he is.

He wants all the Booker-mania to be over with by then, all the Democrats would have spent all their money and energy electing Booker, and then they'll be too exhausted and broke to go out and campaign for Buono. In fact, a lot of the dumber Democrats are actually giving money to Christie.

Pretty good strategy from The Kingpin, but this strategy should be exposed for what it is.
