(345 posts)11. No it pretty much just formed.
This really is the problem we now face in the state. We used to have time to prepare for storms that would form off Africa and take a couple of weeks to get here. Now they pop up in the Gulf or in the Caribbean and seem to be on us in no time. While it seems Andrea will only be a tropical storm, we've certainly had storms in the past few years that have become Hurricanes very quickly.
Also this only being day 5 of the season, I guess I'm inclined to believe that it will be very active season.
