but according to votesmart, Sanders voted Nay for the USA Patriot Act of 2001 and on the extensions.

I might have the wrong bill entirely. Republicans use the most Orwellian freaking names for bills that there might have been more than one of them.

Edited to add: Which isn't to take away from Russ Feingold, who I'd sell a kidney to have as an elected official in any capacity.
