(62,325 posts)one bit. So it's fun to watch a few on 'our' side, who HAVE changed their principles, display so much anger towards him. He pricks the consciences of those who would like not to be exposed as hypocrites so they are angry when he points out that hypocrisy.
They can't respond intelligently as to why they at one time opposed certain policies, but now support them. I sympathize, that would be a very hard thing to do. Thankfully I, like Greenwald, don't have that problem. I opposed Bush's policies when he was president and I still oppose them.
Otoh, maybe the smear campaign planned by HB Gary against Greenwald (which was revealed when Anonymous hacked into their emails) is the real reason we see the anti-Greenwald contingency even on Democratic forums. It's possible another Contractor got the contract when HB Gary was exposed.
Either way, he has not been silenced, yet. His audience has only grown. The more they go after people, the more popular those people become. How stupid can they be? Had they simply ignored him he would be just another blogger. A mistake they always make, and can't seem to stop themselves.
