177. No. Please read carefully. I've heard many complaints, particularly from the political left,

that Obama is NOT like LBJ or FDR. In other words, they are complaining that he SHOULD be more like them. I made the argument that FDR/LBJ, too, made bad decisions but--IN GENERAL--liberals do not seem to characterize either man as bad or evil. Let me make it clear again: while there may be some criticism of what LBJ and FDR did, respectively, by and large, you won't see people on the left tarnish their character or claim that they are bad or evil men, even though arguably they did evil things.

I don't get that when it comes to President Obama. All I see is hate all around--and it's NOT about his policies; people are attacking his character, his essential being. Again, that's why I started this OP.

Criticism of his policies is fine. I've said this seemingly a million times, but I have no problem with criticizing his actions, his decisions, his behavior. That's NOT what this particular thread is about.

I'm specifically referring to the constant *PERSONAL* attacks on the man. I've seen it day in and day out, not only on DU, but generally on the bloggosphere.
