(1,568 posts)You are taking the most progressive and activist stance there is, you're going to do something real with your real life. People are shopping locally, buying organic, using less energy, polluting less, refusing to buy slave-labor goods, boycotting corruption in every way they can.
The world of politics is in "post-reality politics", it's all lies, propaganda and cronyism. Wars are for-profit, health care is for-profit, running for office is for-profit, spying is for-profit, none of it is for the people and all of it preys on the people.
I've seen this coming for years as corruption has taken over, people move on with their lives and stop living in the corrupt world. It's inevitable and has occurred numerous times in history, a history which many people choose to ignore.
