we can create a huge distraction by smearing them personally for a week or so, and across a dozen or more threads.

Until we do that, I am afraid addressing whether or not our trillion dollar national security apparatus has been used to target activists, reporters, labor unions, political organizations, left-leaning critics, the Center for American Progress, SEIU, WikiLeaks, its supporters, Glenn Greenwald, etc.. is just a moot point.
