I don't smoke and never have but I gotta tell you there are oil wells everywhere. Cigarettes may be the least of their problems.
The water table is very high. When pouring a patient a glass of water(at that hospital) I noticed there was a ring around the inside of the picture. It was oil! This was city water.
Wells are contaminated, we had a very expensive water purification thing on our well. Even with that you could not see the bottom of the tub.
Some folks that had ponds chose to use them instead of a well. They hooked up a purification system.
In interviewing women I was shocked at the cancer rate. Most all had family members with or died from cancer and all accept it as their fate.
The wild life looked sick. I saw foxes that looked very sickly and crows that were smaller and missing lots of feathers. This was not just a springtime thing.
We had 3 children and wanted them out of there.
Moved away after about a year and half.

So my point is nicotine users are the least of your problems!
