How involved is the CIA in drug trafficking? [View all]

In my lifetime, I have heard of CIA smuggling drugs into Vietnam from Afghanistan and Lebanon, opium and hashish. Also, from Mexico and Central America, especially Panama. Also, from Colombia, with cocaine shipments.

Afghanistan must have been real good for anyone in the opium or heroin business? And my bet is on the CIA being involved in a big way at the present time.

This is something to keep in the back of your mind as we discuss the NSA and CIA and going to war in Syria or anywhere else in the world. There are a few rogue elements within the CIA.
