(48,121 posts)99% of gun owners don't harm people and I am sure a ton of them use human shaped targets for practice (as well as other ones, you can get Zombie Targets at some chain stores).
When I was little we played war, cops and robbers, etc where we pretended to shoot each other. We drew pictures of super heroes fighting evil villains, and had a little tank game where you drew them on paper and pushed the pencil to draw an attack line.
Only person I knew to grow up in the hood and kill someone didn't play with us (was still a friend and neighbor) and he used a car to run over someone (intentionally).
If all you focus on are the few who do terrible things your mind will be conditioned to only see that. 700,000 injured by drunk drivers a year not to mention other people driving cars. And we have a shit ton of laws on the roadways. I could post a hundred stories a day about people killed by cars - and we let 16 yr old's drive em (and some of them probably go and watch crash up derbies - does that mean they want to smash into you while on the road?)
