The FBI has a long detailed and documented history of spying and lying. It does it under republican presidents. It does it under democratic presidents. It's nothing new. They've been doing it for decades. They are particularly prone to lying about situations that put them in a poor, ethically debatable or legally questionable or worse, light.

Michael Hastings had a history as a truth teller, someone who was meticulous about facts.
And that's why, I believe Michael Hastings over some spokesperson for the FBI. Yes, he could have been wrong, but I only have the word of the FBI and the word of Hastings to go by. I choose Hastings for the reasons I've laid out.
*for the reading comprehension challenged: No, I'm not saying they lie about everything. I'm saying they have a long history of spying on people and lying about it.
Want to add this too: Nope not saying that the FBI or the government killed Hastings. Not implying it either. Got that? Good.
