9. K&R! Here's a little news from Alley Cat Allies who met with the cheif:

On Monday, Alley Cat Allies Executive Director Paul Berry was on the ground in North Ridgeville, Ohio, to support the community in its opposition to the June 10 shooting of five kittens by a “humane” officer. We delivered a petition with 30,000+ signatures to Mayor G. David Gillock calling for North Ridgeville to halt the “euthanasia” of cats and for officials to meet with Alley Cat Allies to discuss a humane approach to feral cats.

After a heated City Council meeting with dozens of residents expressing their dismay over the shooting, Berry met with North Ridgeville Police Chief Mike Freeman to discuss alternatives for dealing with feral cat populations and offered to help the community transition to the humane and effective Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) approach.
