I probably wouldn't have gotten into the rest. I was really into it in the 80s/early 90s but then lost track of it (was too busy for it) in the late 90s/early 2000s...but then all my favorite bands from then kept turning up on tour and releasing new albums (I've seen Napalm Death more in the last 3 years than in the previous 23) and I got back into it and found even harder, more fun stuff to go with it..I love progressive tech death and experimental stuff...

Unless you have a massive sound system attached though your computer can't compare to the live experience...
