I thought that my little HIPPAA comment was just me blowing smoke out my own ass, being paranoid or some such nonsense...thought someone would come back and tell me I was stupid and it wasn't true...

Now you are telling me you actually looked and lo and behold: it's for REAL?

ya, I am a domestic violence survivor as well...plus I have an autoimmune disorder and a plethora of other stuff I could see someone using against me too. I feel you.

What we know is that this spying on citizens stuff goes deeper than any of us are really willing to admit. Between our swiping debit cards at the store, posting online, gas stations we frequent, our friends, our conversations... it's like 1984, but worse...because the ILLUSION of freedom is still there. In books like 1984 the people feel the oppression and have that dread of knowing they are under that control all the time... but in our world, we THINK we are just humming happily along, but we are far from free.
*gulp* I'd better stop even speaking/writing like this, seriously
