However, this editorial is an embarrassment.

Obviously, Sirota doesn't think that Gregory committed a crime by asking a question. But he's using his rhetorical gotcha to insinuate that the suggestion is ludicrous. Like it or not, if Greenwald was the direct recipient of stolen state documents and, indeed, if he requested them, he could be legally culpable. It's a valid question and deserved an honest response (which, of course, was not forthcoming).

Also, that Gregory didn't ask this that or the other journo the same question is utterly irrelevant. It doesn't help Sirota's peurile narrative - rather, it turns it on its head. Why hasn't Sirota asked every one of his interviewees about their potential criminal liability? Is he disingenuous too?
