5. Women have often been the enemies of other women. It's an interesting phenomenon.

I don't know if its jealousy or old age or women thinking that getting more rights makes them less womanly, or what. But it's been this way forever, I think. Some women were against women's suffrage. Some were against adding women to the civil rights act, to protect against discrimination for gender, not only for race and age. Some were against women working outside the home. Phyllis Shlafley, who is still alive!, was against everything regarding women's rights.

In a way, I can see where it COULD be foreseen that more rapes than normal would occur, when women are cloistured with men in military situations. But that doesn't make it the women's fault, or a reason for them not to have rights to be in the military. Once again, that is a MAN problem that others are putting on the women. A MAN does something wrong, and it becomes the WOMAN'S fault, just for being there. The implication being that "boys will be boys," and men have no control over themselves.

That's like saying that it's the fault of a small guy if he's picked on and raped in the military by the other, bigger guys. No, no one would say that. They would put the blame where it lies: with the perpetrator of the crime. No one would say, "Well, what do they expect? He's a little guy. If he weren't there, it wouldn't have happened!"
