Don't want to single out Texas(I know there's good blue folks there)...BUT [View all]

Voter ID laws...vicious anti-choice laws...insane hatred of LGBT's, Hispanics and blacks...

I know it's like that in other states, but it seems, for some reason, much, much, MUCH more toxic and relentless in the Lone Star State these days. I think Lyndon Johnson and Molly Ivins would weep to see what's become of the place they called home.

What is the source of the streak of stubborn fluorescent rage against reality and the rest of the country that keeps blazing in that state?

Why are some(but not all)of the residents there so obsessed with feeding these incandescent flames of inner fury?

Anybody there have any theories about what drives all of that?
