The GOP tried to steal her seat and the San Antonio federal court prevented this from happening. There was a really nasty fight over her district. The DC circuit held that there was actual intent to discriminate by the Texas GOP in trying to steal her seat. Keeping Senator Davis"s seat was a major victory in the court fight
