Is the GOP learning the cost of insanity? [View all]

You can't sell obvious, open insanity. The corporate rulers of the Republican Party “get it.”

But their hordes of peasants in the hinterlands, currently casting votes, are totally clueless. Their ignorance, biases, hatreds, and fears are crushing their primary candidates (who deserve to be crushed). And this is something we should all be cheering about.

However, before we cheer too loudly, let’s keep in mind that the guys at the top don’t give up so easily. They have the money, power and clout to force an open Republican convention. (That means the convention gets to hand-pick a Republican presidential candidate.)

But no matter. This primary season has revealed “the man behind the curtain” who represents the core of the sickness that is the Republican Party.

Anything can happen in the Nov. election, especially given the Republican’s talent for stealing elections.

But, maybe, just maybe, this campaign season has led enough people to “see the light.”
