(7,720 posts)11. I've wondered about being in Arizona this time of year.
I've been in Mesa a lot in the winter. My dad has a place near 60 and 202 so you aren't too far away. It would never occur to me to live there without an air conditioned vehicle. I also know I would not attempt to walk two miles in that heat with the sun pounding down. You had an interesting adventure without AC. I also have wondered about the Hohokam Indians and even the more recent native American tribes and how they were able to deal with the heat.
