I certainly don't by any stretch of the imagination think that everyone who is a Muslim hates women.

I do think that there are some features of the texts that serve as the foundation of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism that provide justification for those who wish to subjugate women in this fashion.

I do not think this is a feature of all religions, and, as an example of a major world religion that does not appear to have such a foundation, I name Buddhism. I believe it is reasonable to assume there are others.

I also believe that secular values have had an impact on the Islam, Christianity, and Judaism to varying degrees.

I just don't believe it is fair to condemn all religion en masse in relation to this tragedy.
