that he'd be able to invoke, through the EU specifically. he will be denied asylum, because the EU isn't going to say that the US would mistreat him or that he wouldn't receive a fair trial in US courts. So, he'd end up extradited. Because of the crush of (legitimate) asylum seekers across the EU, however, that could take months.
