7. "contribute nothing to the economy"?

Seems to me that activities like, oh, putting out fires contribute to the economy because if you don't put out fires buildings burn down and people get killed and jobs are lost and insurance costs go up. So if putting out fires doesn't contribute to the economy, Rush, you despicable bloviating tub of lard, why do we bother to put them out at all? Fires are just nature's way of getting rid of extra buildings, maybe?

Or is it that putting out fires is OK, but the people that do it should be employed by private businesses? Businesses who charge to put out fires, and if you can't afford that service, well, sucks to be you, and your house is just going to have to burn down (and maybe you with it). Too bad; that's the free market. Of course, fires have a way of not staying confined to one place, so if your poor next-door-neighbor can't afford fire-fighting services, your house could be next. And even if you can afford fire fighters, it does suck to have your house catch on fire....

I live for the day when that repulsive fuckknuckle is off the air.
