(9,753 posts)Because I deeply believe that is the best way to promote the values I supported above.
On almost every single issue the democratic party is the one on the right side of the issues. While they may occasionally do something I oppose, in the end voting democratic is the single best way to improve human rights and dignity in this country.
I believe If you vote for a third party you are essentially helping the republican gain power. If you don't vote you are voting in support of whoever wins. If you vote Republican you are voting against human rights and dignity in every way possible.
I am a realist. I know it will take playing politics, time and effort to get this country on the right track, and looking at the big picture it makes no sense to vote in a way that ULTIMATELY hurt the goals I want to promote. My ultimate loyalty is to improving the human condition and there is no better way of accomplishing that than by voting democrat.
You can count on my vote for the long haul.
