Character had nothing to do with it, unless you count O'Keefe's character after his stories were exposed as frauds. The point was, his footage was verifiably edited to tell a false story.
Whereas all of Snowden's allegations have stood up.
So, now character matters with O'Keefe. He's a demonstrated liar.
