I wish the news would put more emphasis on Malala Day [View all]

This girl says the most amazing things for a 16 year old. As a grown man I am humbled by her strength.

Malala Yousafzai:

"Being shot by Taliban made me stronger"

...

"terrorists thought that they would change my aims and stop my ambitions, but nothing changed in my life except this -- weakness, fear and hopelessness died, strength, power and courage was born."

...

"I speak not for myself but for those without voice ... those who have fought for their rights -- their right to live in peace, their right to be treated with dignity, their right to equality of opportunity, their right to be educated."

...

WoW... at 16 I was a Gen-Xer with a chip on his shoulder whining about inanity. I thought I was cool singing along with The Who about how I would "die before I get old." WTF!?

This young woman is amazing.
