I was brought to tears twice this afternoon, in my office. [View all]

First, I read this story about the kidnapped young woman in Cleveland: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2361824/Gina-DeJesus-Still-sees-world-14-year-old-girl-wants-to-prom.html

Poor Gina - how much she suffered and how much is lost, all at the hands of an evil monster. Who knows if she'll recover? I raised teenaged daughters, I cannot imagine something like this happening to them.

And then I saw the picture of Trayvon, and it really hit home to me how young he was. I knew he was a kid, but I don't think it registered just how young he was until I saw that picture. And now he is dead, his potential will never be realized, and all at the hands of an evil monster. My youngest is right now about the same age as Trayvon was. I can't imagine the sorrow of his parents.

I have no doubt Ariel Castro will get what he deserves. I wonder if Zimmerman will? Will there be justice for Trayvon?

I'm glad I have a private office.
