Just doing what the lawyers told them, probably
reading a statement written out for them to say.

But what I meant was that fans of Zimmerman may
pay attention to what they said, just because that's
the way fans are.. they look to their heroes for wisdom
and advice.

Therefore, it's not a bad thing that they did
this. Maybe one lunatic fan won't start a riot on
that account.
