Zimmerman's mother is from South America. There is no reason to think that she identifies with black people and many reasons to suppose that she could be biased against them. This includes comments by family members.
Lumping all people of color into one group and assuming that the all think alike and perceive themselves to be on the same side is a mistake. I have heard Latinos say very racist things. Some Latinos have the same perception of black people as shite supremacists do. There are a lot of reasons for that.

I agree: The lack of conviction of the admitted killer on ANY charges is horseshit.
