the religious right doesn't want people to have sex for fun - they have noted, repeatedly, that humans are only supposed to have sex if the purpose is to make a baby.
saying sex should only be for making babies is saying that humans are animals whose sex drive evolved for that purpose - to reproduce.
it's like the right wingers are making a selfish gene argument - the one that posits there is no god and evolution explains even their religious beliefs - reproduction is the only goal.
however, we can demonstrate that reproduction is not the only goal for human sex because, if it were, women would only have sex when in estrus and would look like this when they are receptive:
Instead, humans evolved in such a way that they have sex for fun and not just for reproduction. (which is also why human females don't look like other great apes during ovulation.)
