I will bet dollars to donuts that the Prosecution asked him more than once if they had all of his notes, etc. But apparently the day (or a few days) before trial he disregarded that and took it upon himself to make some crib sheets, which he then tried to use at trial. The Defense quite rightly bitched about that, since under rules governing Discovery that's pure ambush.

I don't know about Rachel Jeantel. It's possible she was on some type of medication so she wouldn't fall apart from nerves. In any case, I felt her testimony was not totally believable, and her aggressive attitude didn't win her any credibility.
