Usually RS has entertainment celebrities on the cover, people who are admired. So it does mess with your head. I see why some people might be offended, assuming the RS cover to be positive cultural space. But it gets attention to the article and I see the point about the conflict between the image--the "boy who looks like someone we might know"--and the monstrous reality.
