22. "Don't Mess With Texas" is actually an anti-litter phrase

The state ran a bunch of commercials back in the 80s as I recall that were anti-litter, the same sort of thing as those old "Pitch in" commercials. At least that's the origin of the phrase. Unfortunately dumbasses around here ran with it as some sort of macho posturing thing.

We would LOVE to move to California!
