32. Record LOW temps in West Arkansas last week.
Thu Jul 18, 2013, 06:51 PM
Jul 2013

Don't want to sound like I'm gloating, but this has been a BIZARRE Spring/Summer here.
First EVER snowfall in May.

We set RECORD LOW temps last week.
We have been able to sleep without A/C almost every night this July.
Daytime temps are hot in the afternoon this week, approaching 100,
but NOT the 110+ we have seen almost every July day for the last 3 years.

We have NEVER been able to sleep without A/C in July for the 8 years we have been here,
AND
it is now RAINING, ending a 1 month dry spell.

BUT the bizarre thing is that the rain/Thunderstorms have been moving from EAST to WEST.
That almost NEVER happens in this part of the country.
Anybody who has ever watched Storm Chasers KNOWS that the Summer pattern for storms
is West to East.

We had to research this afternoon to see if it is possible to have a Tornado move from East to West,
and it IS possible, but very rare.

Its crazy,
but we'll take the cool nights,
especially after the last 3 years of DROUGHT/ HEAT HELL.

Our Veggies and Melons are REALLY loving it.

Forecast LOW tonight 68F.
