That all important (D) vs (R) distinction. Nothing else matters. We're the White Hat Good Guys and we can do no wrong and anything we do will never set an precedent for any evil (R) to be able to get away with at a later date.
It is so simple. Which is the root problem, because it is not so simple. Just blinder wearing, simple minded thinking. What can possibly go wrong?
