(15,396 posts)29. I have a 3-9x42 ordered for his 7mm-08
He's finally outgrown his red dot we've had on his deer rifle for the past three years. We'll be moving his red dot to his crossbow when the scope comes in.
We don't have any real assault rifles just you run of the mill mid grade semi-auto AR's. I've set one up for hunting with a 4x12x50 scope, one for general plinking with a simple set of open sights and CMMG 22 bolt (never fired the 556 BCG), and one for shooting 3 gun and HD use. Light recoiling, low noise, easily adjustable for all four of us makes them the perfect family fun time rifles.

Used to be a time when it was considered to be the sign of a wimp to hide behind a gun...

Funny, when I go to the beach with my kid, I never think to ask people to wish us luck.

Disgusting. Imagine a thread about a kid electrocuting herself, just one dead child.

Don't kid yourself- your hunting rifles are just as deadly as any AK or AR.
