75. until now, I've stayed out of these threads but....

I'm as liberal as they come on sexual issues. If he was a private citizen, what he has done would be strictly between he and his wife. I don't give a shit. I'm also not from NYC, so that further disqualifies me.

However, this guy has promised one of these women a job, from what I remember. If I was a NYC voter, I would not want a guy in public office, on public time, texting his Carlos Danger to a woman and her being able to blackmail him. Even if she doesn't blackmail him, dispensing favors to your cyber-sex partner while you're a public official is rather unethical and probably illegal if the job is in the public sphere.

He needs to get help, work on his marriage, and go get a job in the private sector. He's toast, imho. YMMV.
