94. I did some research into it (see my posts above) and used to be a LEO

Cops can go either way but tend to favor white people, rich people, and famous people if they like them for some reason.

If the cop had given him a ticket folks on the right would be yelling he was targeted and there are lots of other speeders.

For me, in this case, would depend on how fast over the limit and the 'real' reason he was pulled over (I was pulled over in KS for going over the line, after talking to the officer a bit and explaining I used to be a cop he admitted he pulled me over because I had out of state plates and a car rental and he was checking to see if I was hauling drugs as that was the MO of many dealers running through that area).

Cop may have used it simply as an excuse (speeding), to check out other suspicions he may have had, hard to tell.
