but we know that with the right kind of determination and public policy, the aggregation of wealth in a small number of hands can be remedied. It takes perseverance, commitment and focus.

The funny thing about today's Republicans that worship the 1%, hate the environment, etc. is that Teddy Roosevelt broke the trusts because he feared the political and economic effects of concentrated wealth. He saw the beauty of nature and took steps to begin to protect it.

The policies of modern-day Republicans are not consistent with some of their own party's history.
