So yeah...while people are running around shitting their pants over George Zimmerman, guys like Edwin Alemany are slipping under the radar, killing innocent women on the street just as dead as Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin.

Only we won't know who they are until after more women die. At least people know who George Zimmerman is, and can cross the street if they see him coming in their direction.

So. As a white woman, I don't feel any more privileged than my black and brown:

cousins, step-son-in-law, great niece, and good friends' adopted children.
