(31,493 posts)49. With Ubuntu I am online in 1/3 the time it takes for Winsux to connect.
Apple's OS is great and it comes from open source is BSD flavored. BSD is the best of both the linux and unix world.

I've used WordPerfect since DOS. It and OpenOffice/LibreOffice do anything I want.

Yes, Darwin, the low level system, is BSD derived, MacOS X is the proprietary GUI and software...
