Depends on the conditions I guess. But they're going to do what -- get them to "stampede" or run down an enclosed track? If they're packed too tight, if they get tangled up, panicked? They're going have to be in some kind of a state to continue to perform for the thrillseekers. Surely they won't be permitted to wander around lowing quietly.
