which has made it less possible to convict people on charges with no evidence. No evidence has always resulted in acquittal. The self defense laws have not been changed from their historical roots. The change was a failed experiment into a policy called 'duty to retreat'...a policy which failed and has since been revoked in every state it was attempted. Why? Because way too many innocent people were convicted or left penniless trying to defend themselves again..there is nothing liberal about putting victims on trial or convicting innocent people..
