Some here are willing to burn everything down to "save" it.

I'm not sure how long they think things will recover. Certainly not in their lifetimes if they let the GOP have it all in 2016. There's a chance the GOP takes the Senate in 2014, so the GOP could have total control of the Legislature.

How motivated will the GOP/Tea Party be to have COMPLETE control in 2016 (with a 5-4 GOP SCOTUS) if that happens?

That's some scary shit. 'DLC Dems' don't have anything on the idea of a complete GOP takeover of the Government.
